Steve Irwin Day 2014

Steve Irwin Day, celebrated each year on 15 November, is an annual international event honouring the life and legacy of the one and only Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin! (SteveIrwinDay.org)

It’s been eight years since we lost “Crocodile Hunter” to a freak accident involving a stingray in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. That fateful day in 2006, the world lost not only a colourful television presenter, but a champion of wildlife conservation that inspired millions around the world, including myself. We will always miss Steve-O and his “Aussieness”, but we can honour him by continuing his mission of conservation and education for our children and our children’s children.
