Gerrymandering Is Even More Infuriating When You Can Actually See It

I saw a particularly ridiculous form of gerrymandering first-hand when my high school district redrew the lines, drawing circles around the “rich” neighbourhoods and sending everyone else to the new high school further away. I would have had to literally drive (or ride the bus) past the old school to get to the new one! Progress!

A geographer created data visualizations of every congressional district in the US. Some look truly ridiculous.
