Thank you, Mr. Ebert, for your rationality & your candor. The sensationalist news media outlets are, collectively, the greatest threat to the internal stability of this nation.

Roger Ebert’s review of the 2003 Van Sant movie “Elephant” contains some of the most coherent criticism of the way the media reports mass killings I’ve yet read.
