Masquerade Concert Venue To Be Razed For Luxury Condos

Arguably, that section of town could really benefit from some serious redevelopment, but it’s sad to lose such an iconic location to high-dollar real estate moguls–especially a location where many good memories were made. The teenager in me is screaming “DAMN THE MAN!”

My first event at the Masquerade was one of the weekly electronica parties they put on in Hell: a blurry haze of techno, flashing lights, cigarette smoke, and sweat.

Southeast Capital plans on repurposing The Masquerade building that fronts North Avenue as part of a 24,000-square-foot adaptive re-use development.
