RFID chips in driver’s licenses. What could go wrong?

Considering it’s extremely easy to discretely read the contents of a RFID from across the street and there is no encryption built in, this is obviously a good idea.

It’s a “dream come true” for identity thieves and a “civil liberties nightmare.”
