One Startup’s Heretical Plan to Turn Open Source Code Into Cash

In theory, I like the idea of a “Fair Source” license requiring customers to pay for the code that they use commercially, but in practice it looks a licensing quagmire when combined with other open-source tools.

With a new kind of license, open sourcers are trying to strike a balance between getting paid and preserving their values.
