I absolutely LOVE everything about this scheme: the use of broadcast technology to stream “illicit” content into a hostile area, the “scandalous” distribution of contraband against an oppressive regime, the use of technology to circumvent censorship, and just the simple concept of pirating the spectrum are all near and dear to me. Once upon a time, I was a radio pirate for fun. These guys are radio pirates for a cause!

A new system called Toosheh lets Iranians download a daily bundle of censored files to a USB plugged into their satellite TV receiver.
