Back in the 1950s, Dickie Goodman and Bill Buchanan pioneered the use of popular song clips to humorously answer questions posed during a recorded interview. The format proved popular, and radio personalities added their own spin to the idea over time.

If you’re a long-time reader of this blog, you may have seen the occasional post about a break-in recording that I unearthed sometime in the mid-1990s while trawling around AOL back in the day. My hope is that I can one day find the person who made these recordings and thank them for the entertainment they brought and the quirky sense of humor they helped foster.

Watch this space, folks, and enjoy a blast from the past as I continue to post these clever little “dumb ditties”.
