Chinese free to film police – as long as they don’t get in the way

You know, it’s very telling when a Communist nation starts legally guaranteeing civil liberties that the old bastion of Freedom–the good ol’ US of A–still holds in contempt (or just remains agnostic about). Look, I’m not “anti-cop” (let’s just get this straight right now), but I am pro-freedom and I am pro-accountability. There are some bad apples out there, and the public needs all the tools available to find them.

“Police should accept public monitoring and get used to implementing the law in front of cameras if members of the public record the actions without hindering law enforcement,” CCTV reported, citing the new protocol.
