What Is Your Favourite Space Travel Movie?

Last week, in case you missed it, we landed on a freaking comet! Also, Interstellar was one of the largest movies at the box office. To commemorate, this week’s Movie Monday question asks what your favourite space travel movie is. It can be anything that involves space travel, so use your imagination and boldly go where no one has gone before! Bonus points if there’s a comet involved! My entry is Michael Bay’s 1998 disaster opus, Armageddon.

Armageddon-poster06Armageddon is a 1998 American science fiction disaster thriller film, directed by Michael Bay, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and released by Touchstone Pictures. The film follows a group of blue-collar deep-core drillers sent by NASA to stop a gigantic asteroid on a collision course with Earth. It features an ensemble cast including Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler, Owen Wilson, Will Patton, Peter Stormare, William Fichtner, Michael Clarke Duncan, Keith David and Steve Buscemi.
